The creation of 'The Boy and Boris' was a labor of love and a testament to the profound need for positive representation of brown and black boys in cinematic and television narratives. In an industry where stereotypes often misrepresent us as criminal, aggressive, juvenile, or violent, this project emerges as a dedicated effort to redefine those narratives.

I'm committed to craft progressive roles that showcase the richness and diversity of black youth. The influence of media plays a pivotal role at shaping our perceptions within our community. It's important to foster inclusive and uplifitng narratives to guide the next generation. At its heart, the story explores the father-son dynamic, using the art of storytelling to strengthen this vital relationship. By sharing meaningful tales, the film aims to equip black boys with a blueprint to navigate life's challenges. It underscores the importance of black men instilling encouraging parables, providing invaluable templates for our boys to thrive.

Premiering on Aspire TV and PBS 13 Channel, 'The Boy and Boris' has transcended screens, making waves in the film festival circuit. With selections in over 10 festivals and counting, the film not only resonates with audiences but also stands as a testament to the desire for empowering storytelling in brown and black communities.
